OFA Announces Maximum Food Price Ceilings Hl

and cents, they will have to

pay on nearly half the items

going into their family’s food baskets. This is one of 150 cities in which an OPA community price control plan has been put into effect, and only stores within the confines of Indianapolis are affected. In other gections of the county and the state, ceilings will be

established later.

Prices have been fixed not only on kinds of food, but

on brands, grades and sizes.

The only food items which

previously have been placed under dollars-and-cents ceil-

ings are pork products.

Ceilings on beef, veal, lamb, mut-

ton and soaps will be announced in a few days.
