Remember how she ran away from a school performance, rampaged through a drug store, frightened a whole town, then wallowed through cornfields on the banks of the Wabash for four days last year? ! well, we called on Modoc today at the Olympic circus and found that she .has reformed her jungle ways. She has acquired polish dur-
polish—and she’s a star performer. Her owner, Terrell (Terry) Jacobs, calls her “Terry’s little lamb.” “She’s a model lamb, too” he said. “Modoe’s not the tomboy she used to be. She's a little lady now.” Modoc had just been dancing like a pachyderm Pavlova in the circus ring a few minutes before we met her.
