Low Cost and High Flavor Unite In a Variety of Meat Loaves
IN THE TRUE AMERICAN FASHION, good eating prevails in spite of ration stamps. Homemakers everywhere are finding exciting combinations that were never thought of in the days of plenty. - Take the old friend meat loaf. With less meat it can be juicy. tender, flavorful and nutritious when the right ingredients are chosen. No good cook can resist such tempting combinations as found in . : the nut-meat roast, the victory garden special or the peanutcheese loaf. A minimum of meat, bolstered with cracker crumbs, vita-min-mineral rich vegetables, nuts and cereals, makes appetizing “meaty” food at low cost.

Now he holds on to her affection, knowing that nothing but tragedy can come of it. He selfishly asks her:to stay home from a trip for his sake. He should get advice from a priest. As for the girl, the only thing for her to do is to disentangle herself from a situation which holds no promise of anything but frustration and misery. Let her take the trip. Let her continue with other dates. Let her try to get over her disappointment and find something in life that is more satisfying. A broken heart is a curable ailment as! many women have discovered. 1 do not say that it is easy, only that it is possible, but first one must have the will to be cured, the will to accept substitutes for disappointment. It is not that she should rush into a marriage with someone else but that she should wait until she learns to love again. JANE JORDAN.
