that if the supply became short the industry itself could better handle rationing on ‘a voluntary

- LOS ANGELES, April 8 (U, P.), —An official end was written today to a psychologist’s eight-year attempt “to mold” a beautiful child into the perfect bride, as Mrs. Vifali ‘Negri, 22, was granted a divorce. Dr. Negri, 30 years her senior, admitted failure of his experiment, in which he played “Pygmalion” to her “Galatea” like the mythical sculptor who molded a bride from clay. Dark-eyed Mrs. Negri received an uncontested decree after: testifying she wanted to be something a little more ‘substantial. “I want to be an aircraft riveter and a good one, not a mythical character,” she said. Mother of an eight months old child, she. testified she met Dr, Negri when. she was 14 and he was 44. She was married when she became: 19. = = After they: were married, she said Dr. Negri began dividing his time between her and his first wife, who lived but a half a mile away with the four Negri children,
