Southern Club Units Name Officers
MRS. H. EMORY THOMAS is the new president of the Southern club auxiliary. Other officers ‘elected recently are Mrs. William J. Fleming Jr. vice president; Mrs. Thomas P. Foley, secretary= treasurer, and Mrs. James W. Trotter, recording secretary. The auxiliary’s next meeting will be Friday, May 7, at the home of Mrs. P. C. Reilly. Officers of the Southern club, elected this week-end, are John x 1. Niesse, president; Mrs. B. Howard Caughran, vice-president; Maxwell V. Bailey, secretary, and P. D. Powers, treasurer, Members of the nominating committee were three past presidents, Alexander Lee Rice, Toner M. Overley and Ernest Edwards. At the election meeting, $48.30 was collected for the Red Cross. The club’s final party this year will occur in mid-June.
