They must fill out an application, then go to 411 Federal building any Monday, Wednesday or Friday morning for a two-day examination., They must carry a birth certificate or affidavit showing proof of their place of .birth, The examination includes a physical checkup given at Ft. Harrison, a personal interview with a WAAC officer and the mental alertness test. Women: who qualify are put on inactive duty until they receive orders (in from one to. three weeks) to report for active duty at Ft. Des Moines, Ia.; Ft. Ogléthorpe, Ga., or “Daytona Beach, Fla. There they are trained five weeks to give them the foundation of military life. From there they go to the officers’ candidate training school at F't. Des Moines or may go to one of many specialist schools.
