Actual Air Raid, Says Director Yockey.
Dates for five of the six “all-out” zone meetings completely to mobilize the city’s civilian defense workers were announced today by Harry E. Yockey, city civilian defense director. : “Indianapolis must be ready at all times for an actual air raid,” he said, urging workers in all branches of civilian defense to attend. The meeting dates and zone coordinators: : Zone 1—8 p. m. today, Manual high school; R. E. Carson. Zone 3—17:30 p. m. next Monday, Washington high school, George Baxter. Zone 4—8 p. m. next Friday, Shortridge high school: Ray Headlee. Zone 5—8 p. m. Wednesday, March 10, Shortridge high school; Addison Parry. Zone 6—8 p. m. Thursday, March 4 Howe high school; A. C. Helm. The date for the zone 2 meeting will be announced soon.
