Founders’ Tea ; Will Be Held By Sorority
Cancellation of the Kappa Alpha Theta Alumnae association’s annual state founders’ day luncheon as a result of the war has been announced by the organization. . In place of the luncheon, the association will hold a founders’ day tea, Saturday, Feb. 20, at 2 p. m.,, in the Butler university chapter house. The state luncheons have been held annually except during world war I. This year’s tea will mark ‘the 73d anniversary of Kappa Alpha Theta. Mrs. Dorothy Ford Buschmann, director of the Service Men's clubs, will be the speakér preceding the fea and Miss Sally Hull, vocflis!, ‘will present a musical program. The. traditional founders’ day ceremonies will be observed.

Harry Martin was the organist and Mrs. William Lynch sang “On This Day,” “Ave Maria” and “Panis Angelicus.” ° ; The bride wore a gown of bridal white fashioned with a fitted Breto lace bodice, romance neckline an long sleeves that tapered into point over the hand.

of ‘pearls, gift of the bridegroom, and carried a cascade of white roses and garlands of gladioli blossoms centered with an orchid. Her attendants, Miss Gertrude Meyer, her sister and maid of honor, and Miss Ellen Reibel and Miss Gabriella Meyer, bridesmaids, wore gowns similarly fashioned with beige rose and turquoise sill: jersey fitted basques and flowing brown ne skirts. Shoulder veils of brown net with floral headdresses to match their bouquets completed the costumes. They carried carnation cascades in bright pink, pale pink and varie= gated shades with trailing ivy and brown net.
