Leo D. McShane, 343 E. Fall Creek blvd. died yesterday at Methodist hospital after more than a year’s illness. He was 57. Manager of the Samuel Bingham’s

He was with the Samuel Bingham
Co. in Des Moines, Ia., at one time, and had been associated with the concern 37 years. He was a native of Springville. ’ : Mr. McShane was the founder of the Indianapolis Printing House Craftsmen’s club and was a member of the Columbia club, the Hillcrest Country club and the Rotary club of Indianapolis, Des Moines and Chicago. He also belonged to the Masonic lodge and the Shriners in Des Moines. He attended the United Lutheran church. Survivors are his wife, Alyce M., a daughter, Joann, and two sons, John and Leo D. Jr. of Indianapolis. The Rev. Donald E. Elder, pastor of the United Lutheran church, will officiate at funeral services at 4 p. m. today at the Flanner: & 'Buchanan mortuary. Burial will be Monday in Des Moines.

Alex C. Arthur. Toolmaker, Dies
ALEX C. ARTHUR, a steel tre t expert and toolmaker, died this morning in City hospital. He was 64 and lived at the Central hotel, 331 N. Delaware st.. Employed by the NordykeMarmon Co. which manufactured the Liberty engines for airplanes. during’ world war I, Mr. Arthur had received ‘certificates in recognition of his expert work on the Liberty motors. -He ‘was employed by the Schwitzer-Cummins Co.. when he died. A native of Scotland, he came
