2 Ice Teams

Left in’ Big 10

ANN ARBOR, Mich. Jan. 15.— The Big Ten hockey crown has again become the mythical headpiece it used to be, for with Illinois having dropped the sport for want of playérs only Michigan and Minnesota are in the running. The title was imaginative enough with three teams in the league competing. - Now that there are but two, the Wolverines and Gophers may concentrate on one another to the exclusion of all but a few opponents from Canada. The team winning most of the four games between the two schools may claim all the first division and championship honors it can dream up. The “championship” series got under way last night at Minneapolis and will be resumed tomorrow. To complete the series Minnesota comes here Feb. 18 and 20.

Dent in Schedule

Cancellation by Illinois of its remaining games this season puts a sizable dent in Michigan's schedule

and Wolverines were to be played, two on local ice and two at Cham-
