K..P. He never was sick after that. Most of the things George saw in the South Sea islands, he said, are military secrets. He doesn’t want the Warher Brothers to be giving
every word the movie makers get out of George they have to pry out, like opening an oyster.

was spiraling up to stardom. Her salary rose from $100 a week to $500 to $1000. Neither she nor her mother ever had seen so much money.
And first thing she knew she was flying to Las Vegas to marry a cele-
brated jazz band leader. She'd told|E
this writer only a week before that she hated him, She said she never met a more egotistical man. That marriage was one fight after another and somehow our blond

advice. Take the day she left her ‘musician. There was an item in the papers about it. His press agent said he’d be ruined unless our beauty proved the news stories were a lie, She actually went down to the broadcasting station, where her’husband was performing, and posed for pictures with her arms around him. Then she plunged into a series of movies, all smash hits. Our. girl became a big-time star. Her salary reached $2000 per week, She was t00 busy now to read a book. Too busy studying dramatics and introducing hair fashions and being seen at the night clubs.
Not Much Fun
. It wasn’t. much fun, either. Her old school mates were too bashful to call her; she had no boy friends save those she met under the bright lights. She went for a while with another band leader, with a picture producer, with a star ‘whose profile was his fortune. - She met in one of her favorite night clubs a handsome young man, who had been variously identified as broker, tobacco heir and young business man. He'd been married to a society woman, but she'd divorced him, he said. mo So our girl married this man in Las Vegas last summer. She patronized the same judge and told him this time to tie the knot tightly. A couple of months ago she announced she soon was 10 have a baby. = Last week she Hiscovered that His divorce from his first wife still had not become final. She sued for annulment. That brings us ap t0 date and we must report that we can’t help feeling sorry for Lana Turner.
