Gilliom-Wolford Wedding Ceremony To Be Read Today in McKee Chapel
IN AN INFORMAL CEREMONY at 4 o'clock this afternoon in McKee chapel of Tabernacle Presbyterian church, Miss Mary Jane Wolford will become the bride of Dr. Luther A. Gilliom. oo She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thaddus Wolford of Saginaw, Mich., and Dr. Gilliom is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Arthur L. Gilliom of this city. The ceremony will be read by Dr. Roy Ewing Vale, pastor of the church. The bride has chosen a two-piece street-length costume of woods brown wool with which she will wear brown accessories. Mrs. C. Powell VanMeter, her matron of honor, will be in a two-piece street-length frock of foliage green agcented with gold. Dr. Frank Milnar of St. Paul, Minn, will be the bridegroom’s
best man and ushers will be Dr. VanMeter and Dr. Robert O. Bill.
The bride is a graduate of the City hospital school of nursing and Dr. Gilliom attended Indiana and Butler universities and was graduated from the Marquette university school of medicine in Milwaukee. He is an interne at the City hospital, a member of Phi Chi medical fraternity and a first lieutenant in the army medical corps reserves.

Plans for the guild’s work during the month will be presented by Mrs. Myron J. Austin, president, and committee reports on the guild’s Christmas welfare and entertainment projects will be heard. Mrs. Carl E. Wood, recently chosen as president of the board of managers for the Marion County Tuberculosis hospital at Sunnyside, will be honored at the meeting by the guild members. She is a charter member and a former president of the organization.

Is Appointed
The appointment of Mrs, Eleanor Dunn Moore as director of the home service department of the Indianapolis Red Cross has been announced by Virgil Sheppard, executive director. Mrs. Moore succeeds Robert S. Wymer, who resigned. ; She is a native of Indianapolis and has been connected with the Family Welfare society, the social service department of the public schools and the governor's commission on unemployment relief. - ’ Since last April Mrs. Moore has been a volunteer worker in the Red Cross home service department and has done volunteer service with other local organizations.
A call for additional volunteer instructors for day nutrition classes has been issued by Mrs. Aneta B. Vogler, nutrition director for the Indianapolis Red Cross. The instructors must be gualified nutritionists with an A. B. or B. 8. college degree and must have taught. within the past four years or-done professional nutrition work. Persons otherwise qualified but who have not been active in nutrition work in recent years may qual-

mann and Hubert Hamachar served at’ the nuptial mass following the rite. Gowns of the bride’s attendants were fashioned with gathered bodices, sweetheart necklines and bouffant skirts. Miss Rosemary Cochran, sister of the bride and meid of honor, was in rust taffeta and wore a leaf green bonnet. Miss Agnes Cochran, another sister, wore leaf green tissue taffeta with . a matching bonnet. Both carried bouquets of Johanna Hill roses. Trip to Chicago The bride, father, was gowned in ivory faille taffeta styled with a fitted bodice, sweetheart neckline, long sleeves and a full skirt extending info a train. Her veil was of illusion and fell from a coronet of lilies and pearls and she carried an arm bouquet of Snow White roses. z Otis Voeller was best man and the ushers were William TUnder=wood, Louis Cochran and Lieut. Dale Van Hyning, Barberton, O. Mrs. Cochran, the bride’s mother, chose a dress of powder blue and Mrs. Brinkmann wore dark blue. Both had corsages of Briarcliff roses. . Following an informal reception at the home of the bride’s parents, the couple left for a trip to Chicago.

Miss Victoria Montani, harpist, played the wedding music, including Gounod’s “Ave. Maria” during the service. Father Sweeney performed the marriage before a long mirror in the living room. It was decorated with greenery and flowers flanked by cathedral candles. A bridal-blue ‘wool cashmere dress in street length was worn by the bride. The frock was fashioned with a square-necked, crystal beaded yoke, short sleeves and front fullness in the skirt. : Her black velvei; turban, ornamented with rings of the velvet, had a shoulder length veil of black studded with sequins. The bride wore black accessories and a corsage of .white roses interspersed with sweetheart rosebuds.

Miss Martha Kelly, her sister's maid of honor, wore gold wool crepe made with long flowing sleeves, small turned-down -collar and a pocket flap accented with beading. Her black off-the-face hat also had a veil and she wore black accessories and a Talisman rose corsage. Dr. Joseph Rilus Eastman, a classmate of the hridegroom at the Indiana University School of Medicine, was the best man, Johanna Hill rose corsages were worn by the mothers of the couple ~—Mrs. Kelly's with a black costume suit trimmed in Persian lamb, and Mrs. Smith’s with a powder blue costume, | A small reception followed the ceremony and (later a wedding breakfast was to be served at the Marott hotel for the immediate families and the bridal party.
