. “COMMAND PERFORMANCE,” the show of stars created at the -request of U. 8. forces all over the world, will be broadcast to civilians

for the first time tonight on the four major networks.

Ordinarily, “Com-

mand Performance” is recorded by the NBC radio recording division for release only on short-wave channels. However, the home folks this time .are going to have a front row seat right along with their boys in the

service.

Appearing on the program tonight will be Dinah Shore, Bing Crosby,| ‘Bob Hope, Doro

thy Lamour, Cary Grant, Ethel Wa ters, Red Skelton;

Mc Carthy, Ka Kyser, Ginn Simms and Newman's orches tra. The grand finale will feature the two friendly enemies of radio, Jack Benny and Fred Allen, engaging in a verbal duel to end all duels. During the hour-long program, each star will offer an entertaining bit especially requested by troops
