LONDON, Dec. 21 (U. P)— Anton A. Mussert, Nazi puppet leader of the Netherlands, has appealed again to the Germans for permis-

sion to set up a Dutch government, which would raise an army to fight both the Russians and the allies in North Africa, the free Dutch news agency: Aneta reported today. Mussert, designated by Adolf Hitler as “leader of the Netherlands people,” address in Utrecht, broadcast by the Nazi Netherlands radio. The Nazis have been reluctant to set up a puppet government in the Netherlands, because of ‘the failure of the Quisling regime in Norway.

missing Johnstown war ace. The reward was offered by Isadore Klatzkin, Johnstown philanthropist. Col. Wagner, whose exploits against the Japanese in the Philippines area gained him recognition as one of America’s first war heroes, was lost Nov. 29 on a routine flight from Florida to Alabama. Previously, a Pittsburgh newspaper offered a $1000 reward for the

WRECK x BOMBER: FOUND IN DESERT

YUMA, Ariz, Dec. 21 (U, P.).—

Wreckage of a twin-motored army light bombing plane lost about a year agqd in a rainstorm on a cross~ country flight was found Saturday afternoon in the desert 22 miles south of Wellton, Ariz., and about 50 miles west of Yuma, officials at the Yuma airbase revealed tonight. ‘Second. Lieut. Lawrence A. Barrett, Jr., U. S. army pilot, was killed in the crash. Airbase officials identified the body and confirmed the identification with military authorities today.
