Dee. 11. —Resigning yesterday as 'secretary and assistant to the director of publicity at DePauw university, Miss Joan Hixon today probably became the youngest woman editor of a daily newspaper in the state of Indiana, perhaps in the nation, as she assumed her new duties as editor-in-chief of the Linton, Ind., Daily Citizen. Twenty-two-year-old Miss Hixon, who received her training in Journalism at Butler university, had been a member of the publicity staff at DePauw since July.
