REMEMBER PEARL HARBOR December 7, 1941

To the VICTORY That Will Be Yours

We Gratelilly Pledge—

Every unselfish American will sincerely pledge to do all that is necessary to help you to secure that Victory that will surely be yours. That you carry by far the greater part of this nation's burden there can be no question, but those you left at home will work diligently that you may have the necessary materials to successfully meet the opposition raised by those who would enslave us all. We will conscientiously and without complaint man our jobs, participate in every effort designed to help you and give of our all that you may be successful in bringing Victory to your country and peace to the World. And while you are about your tasks we will see that your loved ones are spared the hardships you will see suffered by civilian populations of those countries in which you fight. Then will come the day of your return—the day when we will be faced with our greatest obligation to you. That this obligation will be met you can rest assured. This nation for which you fight will not forget what you fought for nor will it flinch from its responsibility to you. Already we are making plans for that day—plans that will enable you to carry on successfully in your quest for health and happiness. We pray that God will direct the efforts of all of us that your future will be one that reflects our admiration and respect for the great task you will have completed.
