REMEMBER PEARL HARBOR December 7, 1941
In Memory of —
Those who gallantly fought back against that unwarranted attack by the Japs on Pearl Harbor just one year ago today. Even while Jap|emissaries in Washington advanced their supposedly amicable plans for continued peace the treacherous warlords of Japan were planning this unannounced attack on United States islands in the Pacific. In fact the day of the attack notes were exchanged by our State Department and the Japanese Ambassador... and then shortly before 7 A. M. on that fateful morning the Japs, without the decency of a Declaration of War, swooped out of the sky in hundreds of planes loaded with powerful explosive and fire bombs to attack our naval units in the harbor, our shore armaments and our air force. Though unprepared for this sudden visit of death and destruction the U. S. Army, Naval and Marine Units quickly manned their available equipment and gallantly fought off these back-stabbing raiders. Nearly 3,000 lives of brave defenders of this nation were snuffed out—many hundreds of others were wounded and many hundreds of others gave back with interest that which the Japs were giving them. To the memory of these men, and women, too both living and dead, this message is dedicated—and may God give us the strength to bring Victory and Peace that their sacrifices will not have been made in vain. Remember Pearl Harbor—the
sacrifices made there and the sacrifices we must make to bring right out of this wrong.
