Partins Are Arranged for Supper At /eridian Hills Country Club
SEVERAL RI} SERVATIONS have been” made for the monthly family buffet supper tomorrow /night at the Meridian Hills Cou try club. Among parties arranged for the event will be tli0ose of Dr. and Mrs. Harry R. Kerr, Messrs. and Mesda nes Howard E. Nyhart, Paul R. Summers, Frederick G''umme, Paul Shideler; Marshall G. Knox, W. L. Appe, Floyd King and Robert Becherer. December events a. the club will include a children’s Christmas party Dec. 21, for wlich Mrs. Marvin P, Kahl will be chairman, assisted by Mrs. D. VW. Alexander. The annual formal Christmas dinner bridge will be Dec. 26 with Mr. and Mrs. Ralph L. Flood in charge. They have arranged the party each year since the club’s
founding. On Dec. 21 there will be a dance for junior club members. .
Tudor Juniors to Fresent Play
THE JUNIOR CI ASS at Tudor Hall school will present “The Sandalwood Box,” a play by Essex Dane, on Dec. 9 at 3:45 p. m. at the school. The ply will be invitational and no tickets will be sold. Arrangements ‘re conipleted to have war stamps sold at the door. Girls taking part in the play will include the Misses Betty Lee Tarbet, Jacqueline C<hen, Joan Boozer, Jean Rikhoff, Frances Louise Nafe, Barbara 3radley and Sally Amos. Miss Nellie McCasl n will direct the production, and her student assistant will be Mis: Marjorie Kroeger. Miss Lucia Brown and Miss Susan Ward wiil be act as stage managers. The properties will be handled by M ss Wilma Moenning, and publicity by Miss Marjorie Bain.

Club to Give “|Supper Dec. 7
Dr. Harold Whitehall of the Ine diana university English faculty will be the speaker at an informal bufe fet supper given Monday evening, Dec. 7, by the Indiana University Women’s club of Indianapolis. The dinner will be at 6 p. m. in the main dining room of the Riley hospital. Before joining the I. U. faculty last year, Dr. Whitehall taught a the Universities of lowa, Wiscon= sin and Texas, Western Reserve: university and Queens college in New York. J He is a native of England and was graduated with honors from the University of London and has the Ph. D. degree from the Universityof Towa. He also has done graduate work at the University of Geneva and the University college at Note tingham. Alumni Guests
He was traveling fellow at the International Summer school held in 1927 at Geneva and also was the Guggenheim- fellow in American English in 1939-40. He has served as director of the Linguistic Survey of the Texas Linguistic society and as secretary of the middle English seetion of the Modern Language Association of America.
