CINCINNATI, Nov. 26 (U. P.).— John B. Hollister, former Republican congressman from Ohio, yesterday squelched reports that he might be a “dark horse” candidate for the chairmanship of the G. O. P. national committee. Hollister, a law partner of U. s. Senator Robert A. Taft (R. O.) and a national G. O. P. political leader, declared he “wasn’t even planning to go” to the national committee (| meeting in St. Louis Dec. 7. The present chairman, Rep. Joseph W. Martin Jr., (Mass.) plans to resign at the St. Louis meeting to devote his full time to enlarging
the Republican bloc in congress.

SANTA ANA, Cal, Nov. 26 (U. P.).~Lieut. William N. Wilson last night 'returned to his duties as a
court-martial acquitted him on charges of involuntary manslaughter resulting from the mid-air collision of a bomber and an airliner. Col. Leland R. Hewitt, president of the court, announced the verdict after a 10-man army court deliberated 37 minutes. The 25-ygar-old pilot smiled when he heard the acquittal verdict but made no comment. The verdict came after three days of testimony, and apparently ended all prosecution. In Riverside, District Attorney John Neblett said that the civilian authorities did not intend to bring any charges against

POSTPONE BENEFIT BLL FOR VETERANS
WASHINGTON, Nov. 26 (U. P.).— Acting on the recommendation of Brig. Gen. Frank T. Hines, veterans administrator, the senate finance committee today postponed action on a house-approved bill providing specific benefits for U. S. veterans who become disabled in ‘world war II. Hines, supported by Senator Robert M. La Follette (Prog. Wis.) said that the problem of rehabilitating crippled and injured veterans of the new war should be the subject of long and earnest consideration by congress. The present congress
