Plea Is Issued i For Used Toys
A plea for used toys to be recon-y ditioned for the Christmas toy shop has been issued by Mrs. Marvin E. Curle, chairman of the OCD youth activities committee. The committee, with the Council of Social Agencies, is sponsoring the shop this year. Members of the Girl Reserves, Girl Scouts and Camp Fire Girls have been reconditioning the toys which are to be distributed at Christmas time to underprivileged children. The girls are working-in the Y. W. C. A, “Fix-it” shop. Toys which they cannot repair will be turned over to workshops in the community houses of the public recreation department. : The girls are assisted by Mrs. Harry C. Stevens and Mrs. I. V. Giles, handicraft instructors. Mrs. Norma Koster of the public recreation staff supervises the work. Toys will be given to families recommended by the Family Welfare society and the social services department of the schools. The Christmas toy shop was started five years ago by Mrs. C. Willis Adams who serves as its chairman,

Wayman Adams to Serve on Art Jury
Wayman Adams of New York and Victor Higgins, Taos, N. M., will serve on the jury for the 1¢th annual Hoosier Salon which will open in Block’s auditorium Jan. 18. Both are Indiana-born artists. The third judge will be Jerry Farnsworth, Urbana, IIL - A preview party will be held o Saturday night, Jan. 16, at Block's. The exhibit will continue through Jan, 30. The show will include works of native Hoosiers or artists who have had an established resi“dence in Indiana for one year.

s and candelabra. The bridegroom’s brother, Joseph: Hoffmann of Washington, sang bridal airs, accoms= panied by Prof. Albert Klein, of= ganist. Entering on the arm of her father, the bride was gowned in white brocaded taffeta. The fitted bodice had a sweetheart neckline and long sleeves tapering into wrist points and the full skirt was fashioned with three tiers. A Mary Queen of Scots cap held her two-tiered fingertip veil of illusion in place and she carriéd:a bouquet of sweetheart roses and gardenias. The bride also wore a strand of pearls, gift of the bridegroom, : Attendants’ Frocks
An aqua taffeta gown was the costume of the maid of honor, Miss Louise Hoffmann, sister of the bridegroom. It was made with a romance neckline and short sleeves and the skirt was styled after that of the bridal gown. With it Miss Hoffmann wore a matching Juliet cap of tulle and carried a bouquet of American Beauty roses. The flower girl, Esther Chrisman, cousin of the bride, was attired in a peach taffeta dress fashioned with a long full skirt, fitted bodice and a sweetheart neckline. Her French bouquet was ‘of American Beauty roses and she wore a bonnet matching her frock. James Sullivan of Curtis Bay, Md., brother of the bride, was Mr. Hoffmann’s best man. Another brother of the bride, Dennis Sullivan, and Joseph Hoffmann ushered. For the ceremony Mrs. Sullivan chose a black velvet dress, which she wore with black patent agcessories and a corsage of white roses. The bridegroom’s. mother wore yellow roses with an autumn. brown frock and dark brown accessories.
To Live in Chicago Following the wedding there was an informal reception and breakfast at the Sullivan residence, 1460 Bates st.- Miss Gertrude Laney and Miss Mary Tucher assisted the hostess. When ,the couple left on a wedding trip the bride traveled in a powder blue dress with a
