By FRANK WIDNER GALE ROBBINS is Hollywood bound. The lovely songstress of Ben Bernie’s Monday-through-Friday CBS musical series reports to the 20th Century-Fox studios Monday. Her final broadcast with the “ole maestro” was yes= terday. In place of Miss Robbins, Bernie . has signed Elisse Cooper, a honeyblond songbird. The band leader, who is always ready with a gag, "HEHE a claims to have Sian won the glamor- Miss Robbins ous Miss Cooper in a gin rummy game from Chico Marx. Miss Cooper has been appearing with Chico’s orchestra, now playing in Chicago. Just 23 years old, Miss Cooper has sung with the Eddie DeLange, Tony Pastor, Ralph .Barlow and Bob Chester orchestras. She even has spent a few months singing on Puerto Rican short wave stations. The Ben Bernie show is broadcast locally on WFBM daily at 4 D. m, x a = ' LEOPOLD STOKOWSKI, the world renowned symphony conductor, will return to' the podium-of the NBC Symphony orchestra for his second consecutive season .tomorrow, presenting & program of contemporary American compositions on WIRE at 4:30 p. m.
