P.).—Rich- | Law, parliamentary undersecrey to. the war office, told the house af commons today that in the past months Britain had sent 3052 planes, 4084 tanks and 30,031 vehicles to Russia. - “The whole world is beginning gonfidently to expect an allied victory,” he declared. Law said additionally 831,000 tons of machine tools, metals and 42,000 tons of aviation and other gasoline ‘and 66,000 tons of fuel oil had been
dispatched to Russia—all by the}

BOSTON, Nov. 12 (U. P.).—President Roosevelt was urged: by the Congress of Industrial Organiza‘tions today to save Harry Bridges, ‘West coast labor leader, from deportation and give him a chance to become a citizen. Bridges, president of C. I. O.s international longshoremens - and _warehousemen’s union, was ordered deported to his native Australia by Attorney General Francis Biddle for alleged communistic activities. In a resolution approved by é 1 0s first wartime convention, Mr. Roosevelt was asked to “recognize the fact that the deportation of Harry Bridges would be ‘a blow to morale, to national unity and to war production.”
U. S. WILL BORROW 10 BILLION FOR WAR
WASHINGTON, Nov. 12 (U. P.) — Secretary of Treasury Henry Morgenthau Jr. revealed today that government borrowing next month to finance the war will be on an unprecedented scale — presumably $7,000,000,000 to $10,000,000,000—and that a big drive will be undertaken to get most of it from the public instead of banks. : .
