at 7:30 o'clock. » 8 8 WHEN MARCIA NEIL, NBC songstress, recently returned to her home in Central City, Neb, the little town turned out en masse to greet her, They were mighty pleased to see the young lady who had gone such a long way since leaving Central City. ' Marcia, who is now 23, made her first public appearance on the stage at the age of 5. She won the statewide Nebraska piano contest when she was 15 as well : as her high school singing prize and a scholarship for Duchesne college in Omaha. In the spring of 1839, Marcia went to New York for a visit and decided to stay to try to get in radio. When her money ran out, Marcia Neil she received employment as a salesgirl, later getting a job in the RCA television exhibit at the world’s fair. This won her several night club spots. : It was in a night club that Ray Block, director of the “Swing Fourteen” choir on the Johnny Presents show, “discovered” her. He put her in the choir where she now sings all the high pitched parts. Marcia has brown eyes, chestnut
