Museum Gallery Talks: to Begin
THE 1942-43 SERIES OF GALLERY TALKS at the John Herron Art museum will be inaugurated at 3 o'clock tomorrow afternoon when Wilbur D. Peat, museum director, will discuss the International Water Color exhibit, to be removed from the museum Monday. On Nov. 15. Robert: Laurent, head of the sculptor classes at Indiana university, will discuss his exhibit opening that day at the museum. Miss Belle Scofield, assistant supervisor of art in the public schools, will talk on the Egyptian exhibit Nov. 22 and the following Sunday Miss Anna Hasselman, curator, will have the Contemporary British exhibit as her subject. This year all gallery talks will be given at 3 p. m. instead of 4 o'clock because of the symphony concerts scheduled by the National Broadcasting Co. at the latter hour. Davis-Dodd Ceremony Is Read In Our Lady of Lourdes Church; Couple Leaves for Trip South

Lady of Lourdes church. The bride was Miss Lucille Dodd, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Dodd, and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. David A. Davis of Kokomo, The Rev. Fr. Joseph Casey rea orated with fall flowers and flanked by candelabra. Bridal selections | were sung by Miss Mary Feeney, | accompanied by Mrs. Claude Sifferlen, organist. Escorted to the .altar by her father, the bride wore a gown of candlelight duchess satin styled with a low shoulder yoke of Chantilly lace accented by seed pearl embroidery. The full skirt, gathered onto a low fitted bodice, fell into a sweeping train. Attached to a tiara of satin locps was her two-tiered fingertip veil of illusion. She carried an orchid centered bouquet. A frock of romance blue satin and ninon was the costume of Miss Rosalind Gelday, maid. of honor. It was fashioned with a fitted satin bodice, short puffed sleeves and a gathered skirt. The pearl pink gowns of the bridesmaids, Miss Jo Ann Davis and Miss Agnes Gelday, were similar to that of the maid of honor. All of the attendants wore Juliet caps matching their dresses and carried balls of fall flowers hanging from satin ribbon tied to their wrists.

John William Brown of Richmond was Mr. Davis’ best man and Sergt. Duane Syperski and Sergt. John Murphy of Cleveland served as ushers. For the ceremony, the bride’s mother was attired in a purple frock with brown -accessories while Mrs. Davis wore a black frock with matching accessories. Both had gardenia corsages. Following the wedding, Mr. and Mrs. Dodd entertained the bridal party and members of the immediate families with a breakfast at Citaldi’s. When the couple left Indianapolis, the bride traveled in a sage green dressmaker suit trimmed with muskrat and brown accessories. Her corsage was an orchid. After Nov. 16, Mr. and Mrs, Davis will be at home in Indianapolis. Mrs. Davis attended the University of Minnesota and is a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority. The bridegroom attended the University of Notre Dame. Among the out-of-town guests were Messrs. and Mesdames Ned Dennis, Red Dodd and’ Walter Spiers, all of Danville, Ill, and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Wagner and Mr. and Mrs. Burch Davis, Kokomo.

Church News— Churchwomen Will Exhibit Old Costumes
A fashion show is among activi= ties which will claim the attention of churchwomen next week. A “March of Time in Fashion” show will be presented by the Women’s | society, MERIDIAN HEIGHTS PRESBYTERIAN church, in the church community room at 2 p. m. Wednesday. One of the oldest costumes will be worn by Mrs. Frederic Krull, whose grandmother, Mrs. Winslow S. Pierce, first wore it in 1854. The oldest wedding gown to be worn dates from 1871, Mrs. Charles J. Kachel is gen=eral chairman for the event. Mes= dames Henry G. Hoss, Henry W. Bellmann and Fred W. Long will be dressers for the models. Mrs, . George M. Hadley is ticket comsmittee chairman. A musical program is to be under the direction of Mrs. Paul L. Dressel, and publicity is being handled by Mrs. John A, Cejnar and Mrs. E. A. Grimmer. Section 4 of the society will be in charge of a tea to follow the show. Mrs. G. M. Bockstahler and Mrs, Henry W. Vornbrock will pour, and the . serving will be done by high school girls of Maurice D. Lindley’s Sunday school class.
A meeting of St. Mary's chapter of ALL SAINTS' Episcopal cathedral will be held at 8 p. m. Tuesday with Mrs. Shockley: Lockridge, 4173 Guilford ave. as hostess.
