Jockemeyer to Go On Southern Tour

Earl B. Teckemeyer, a director of the National Real Estate association and past president of. the Inia apolis real estate board, will to the southern seetion of the United States late this month with David B. Simpson, president of the national association. Mr. ‘Teckemeyer will discuss “Managing Real Estate in Wartimes” and “Real Estate—the War and You” before several state conventions. As Defense Area.

A total of 2812 dwelling units have been provided in Indianapolis from the time the city was designated as a defense area through

August under FHA-insured financing, it was reported today by R. Earl Peters, federal housing administration state director for Indiana. In addition, a total of 104 dwelling units were also provided in the Kingsbury-La Porte, Indiana area. This includes new homes started under title 2 of the national housing act as well as under the rrovisions of title 6.

The bulk of the dwelling units provided under this type of financing in recent months has come under the title 6 or war housing provisions.

Private investment funds, principally through the title 6 provisions, have been mobilized for the financing of vitally needed housing projects for war workers in war areas. Only those projects for which there is a definite need are approved for title 6 insurance,

Funeral services will be held at the home at 3 p. m. Monday.

Charles H, Maddux, a member of the town board of Rocky Ripple for several years, died yesterday at St. Francis hospital after a short illness. He was Tl. Mr. Maddux formerly lived ‘at 5317 Lester ave. Rocky Ripple, and had been a member of the town board there until Aug. 1. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic church and was born in Loogootee. He had been a resident here 33 years. Survivors are a daughter, Helen Sanborn; two sons, Charles E. and Ralph J., all of Indianapolis; a sister, Mrs. Robert McMahon, Bedford, and seven grandchildren. His wife, Mrs. Mary L. Maddux, died in 19837. Funeral ‘services will be held at 8:30 a. m. Monday in the Kirby mortuary and at 9 a. m, in the church. Burial will be in Holy Cross cemetery. :
