An open meeting tonight at the Young Women’s Christian Associa-
tion building will mark the beginning of the Y. W. Quest club’s fall group, compgsed of business women, has invited young
and professional girls of the city to attend. ' Hostesses for the evening will be members of the club council—Miss
Dorothy Roeder, president, and Misses Margaret Trittipo, Edith Lois Howard and Bertha Sorenson. Others will be Miss Kathryn Busenbark, past president; Clark, Miss Lucy Schulte, secretary of the Y. W.s business and professional department; Rena Dean, Mildred Lawrence, Barpara Beecher and Frances Cramer.
Columbia Club To Hold Formal Opening Oct. 17
A formal dance in the sky room will open the fall and winter social activities of the Columbia club Oct. 17. John K. Ruckelshaus is chairman of the club’s entertainment committee and Dr. J. H. Kemper is Sharman of the dance committee. George Wald and his orchestra of Chicago will play for the dance. The event will net be a dinner dance, but members and their guests may be served in the main dining room and the cascade room preceding the dance at 10 p. m. There will be breakfast and supper service in the sky room. : Although the formal opening party will not be: held until the 17th, the club’s weekly schedule of dinner and supper dance music in the cascade room and main dining room will be inaugurated Saturday. Art Berry's orchestra will play with Miss Sally Hull as the featured singer. 2 Other events scheduled by the club for entertainment of its members and guests during the fall months include a luncheon bridge for women of the club and their guests Oct. 13, a turkey buffet dinner and dance Nov. 14 and another buffet dinner dance Dec. 12. Mrs. DeWitt W. Brown is chairman of hostesses for the luncheon bridge.
