A group nursing program to alleviate the nurse shortage in Indianapolis hospitals has been started by the Central district of the Indiana State Nurses’ association. Service Group. Plans Annual Conference
Alpha ‘Omicron Alpha, national philanthropic serority, will hold its 224 annual convention Oct, 2 to 4 at the Hotel Lincoln. Mrs. J. R. Sentney, national president, is in charge of general arrangements.
The national council will meet the first afternoon of the convention and an informal session will be held in the evening. Registration will start Saturday morning at 9:30 o'clock. Business meetings will be held morning and afternoon, when presidents of the 33 chapters will report on activities of the past year. Special projects of the organization, including the proposed “Girls’ Town” will be up for general discussion. Following a dinner at 6:30 o’clock Saturday night, an initiation ceremony will be Held for the newly pledged Alpha Tau chapter of Indianapolis. Upsilon chapter will conduct the initiation with Mrs. G. C. Baker, president, in charge, assisted by Mesdames O. B. Hanger, Charles Marshall, H. BE. Parker; William Schreiber and M. J.
