Alumnae Clubs to Provide Luncheon Ushers
THREE ALUMNAE CLUBS of women’s colleges have been asked
"to provide ushers for the million-dollar bond luncheon to be-held at the Marott hotel Oct. 7. ‘They are the Indiana Vassar club, the Stephens College Alumnae club and the Wellesley club. Other organizations, who will provide ushers, will be announced at a later date. : Presidents of the respective clubs will serve as captains to organize their groups. Mrs. Abram S. The fitted bodice, bouffant skirt and sweeping train were accented with insertions of Chantilly lace. A fingertip veil of illusion cascaded from her tiara of seed pearls and she_ wore a single strand of pearls, which was the gift of the bridegroom. The bridal bouquet of white roses and tuberoses was centered by a white orchid and had ribbon streamers. Mrs. John Renner, the bride’s sister and matron of honor, was gowned in a frock of skyway blue ninon chiffon. The dress had a shirred ‘ bodice with - short puffed sleeves and a romance neckline accented by insets of lace. Her flowers were yellow and Talisman roses.

The maid of honor, Miss Katherine Hastings, sister of the bridegroom, and bridesmaids, Miss Jean Hackerd and Miss Virginia Burkholder, wore similar gowns in yellow and carried bouquets of Talisman roses and vlue pompom chrysanthemums. Mrs. Renner and Miss Hastings also wore rhinestone bar bracelets and the bridesmaids, single strand pearls, which were gifts of the bride.

Miss Dorothy Schroeder, sister of the bridegroom, was maid of honor Her frock was peach chiffon o satin and she carried roses mixed with orchid colored asters. Similar gowns of light blue chiffon over satin were worn by the bridesmaids, Mrs. Charles Madinger Jr. and Miss Esther Smith, cousin of the bride, whose bouquets were of pipk roses.

The Association for Childhood Education was to formulate. plans for its winter activities at a tea given in the D. A. R. auditorium at 4:15 p. m. today. Miss Jean Sinclair of Kenosha,’ Wis., sister of the bride, was maid of honor and another sister, Miss Lita Sinclair of Bloomington, was junior bridesmaid.
