Expressing concern over the failure of thousands of local citizens dn the army and navy to vote on Nov. 3, Mr. Ettinger wrote letters to= day to Senators Raymond D. Willis and Frederick VanNuys and Rep. Louis Ludlow, asking them to coOperate. He urged that they seek the cooperation of postal authorities and army and naval officials in “placing at the disposal of local election authorities adequate air transportation to insure that absent voters in aur armed forces receive their Ballots in time to mark them for return before the election.”

All the youths have worked throughout many air raids and were picked for the trip here because of their outstanding services during bombings. Young Bethel won the scout bronze cross for conspicuous bravery and devotion to duty and is credited with the rescue of 12 persons buried beneath collapsed houses. Upon his return to England, Stanley Newton will join the R.A.F.
POLICE. ARREST 6 INE "STORE ROBBERIES
Thirty-six hours after two stores had been robbed, police arrested six suspects. Four juveniles, 15 and “ years old, were arrested at school yesterday and two of them confessed breaking into the Danner store, 745 E. st., and taking $1000 in cash and ecks. Police recovered $736 of the money in the woods where the boys said they had hidden it. Two men were captured after a running gun fight yesterday near ‘the Pennsylvania railroad yards. One of them confessed that they broke into the Davis Cleaners’ shop at 2020 E. 40th st. Tuesday night. Both were held on vagrancy charges pending further investigation.
