George Thomas ‘Smith of Hattiesburg will give his sister in marriage. Her gown of ivory slipper satin will be fashioned on princess lines with long sleeves tapering into points over the hands. The bodice, with a sweetheart neckline, will be trimmed with shirred bands of satin from which her sweeping skirt will fall. She will wear a fingertip veil ‘of illusion cascading from a tiara of pearls. Her bridal bouquet will be of white roses, white gladioli blossoms and stephanotis.

The maid of honor, Miss Ellen Hull, will be attired in heavenly blue chiffon over satin and will carry a bouquet of pink gladioli. puffed sleeves. The attendants will carry. colonial bouquets. Judith Anne Enneking, the flower girl, will wear orchid organza over satin. She is the daughter of Mr. and. Mrs. Robert Enneking. William Koontz of Roanoke will be the bridegroom’s best man and ushers will be Robert D. Cox and Bill Huffine of Tipton and William Samms’ Jr. of Indianapolis. The bride’s mother will be attired in a dressmaker suit of heliotrope wool jersey with accessories of darker shades. Mrs. Kirkwood has chosen a delft blue wool to be worn with black accessories. Both will have corsages of gardenias and blue delphinium. Following the ceremony, there will ‘be a reception in the church foyer. The bridal table will be laid with a lace tablecloth centered with a tiered wedding cake and on either end will be bouquets of Radiant roses. a

Patriotic Rally To Be Friday At Murat
Dr. Albert McCown of Washington, national Red Cross medical adviser, will be one of the principal speakers at a patriotic rally Friday evening at the Murat theater. Volunteer workers in the countywide . campaign to recruit candidates for the nurses’ aid corps and to register\ blood donors for the plasma project will attend the meeting. * The rally was arranged by representatives of the county OCD and the Indianapolis Red Cross, joint sponsors of the drive to be held Sept. 7-14. ¥. Speakers on the program with Dr. McCown will include W. I. Longsworth, chairman of the local Red Cross chapter; C. Harvey Bradley, director of the county OCD, who will preside; Mrs. W. D. Gatch, chairman of the nurses’ aid corps, .and Miss Frances Kearby, director of the women’s division of the OCD. : ‘All recruiting activities in connection with the campaign will be carried on by trained OCD personnel. Miss Kearby recently sent letters to more than 3000 block chairmen ' outlining the Sampaign and stressing its importance in civilian life.
