habeas corpus proceedings she had | d
instituted to determine the custody of her 9-year-old daughter, Sallie Patricia Possell. After a conference in: chambers with Supreme Court Justice Meier Steinbrink, it was decided that the child ' would resume her status under an oral agreement between Miss Jepson and her former husband, George Possell, in 1940. That agreement gave Mr. Possell custody of the child and Miss Jepson visiting privileges, . In her habeas corpus action Miss Jepson contended that Mr. Possell had violated the agreement when he refused to allow their daughter to visit her at her Wurtsboro, N. Y., lodge this summer.

'Pardon My Sarong’
AFTER PLAYING several successive hands of heavy war drama, the Indiana cut the cards yesterday, dealt that pair of wild jacks Abbott & Costello, and wound up with a full house. The gambol is “Pardon My Sarong” and it seemed as though every kid in town came to see it, bringing his liitle brother.
The house rocked on swells choppy lake. Some of the gigs predated the younger patrons who had never heard of them, so a good time was had by most. Shipwrecked upon an uncharted South Sea island where. shapely Marie MacDonald = and other “natives” are singing “The’ Jaye Jive,” Abbott & Costello learn
they are to be put to death, Lou.
Costello announces he wants to die in his own way. How's that, asks Abbott. “Qld age,” says Lou. : That nearly killed the kids.

a strictly dippy level and a couple
of times I just caught myself in time from laughing along with it. ‘Sometimes not laughing at these wacks takes considerable restraint, but I have it. This is the closest I've come to being entertained by the pair, so on this basis I'd judge that “Pardon My Sarong” is their best yet. Tag itS 2 2 8
