After operating the McCloud hardware store at 1728 E. 10th st. for 25 years, Mr. McCloud retired in 1940. Born 73 years ago in Newcastle, England, he came to America when 2 years old. He moved to Indian-
|apolis in 1909.

RITES SUNDAY HONOR LOGAL NAVY YOUTH
One of the many volunteers at the navy recruiting office here the morning after the attack on Pearl Harbor will be honored in death next Sunday. Eulogy for Ira Lincoln Lee, son of
Aubert Lee, 354 W. Raymond st. will be sung in memorial services at 11 a. m. at the All Souls Unitarian church. Lieut. Comm. F. M. Hall, U. S. N. R., medical officer at the Indianapolis recruiting office, will speak as the navy’s representative. Music will include numbers by Miss Freda Hart, church organist, and a vocal solo by Miss Charlotte Lieber. The service will be in charge of Dr. E. Burdette Backus, pastor of the church. The 18-year-old sailor died July 18 of injuries received aboard ship. He was a seaman, second class.

LOGANSPORT, Ind, Aug. 6 (U. P.).—Mrs. Mary Bond, daughter of the late Col. Thomas Bringhurst, founder of the Logansport Journal in 1849 and three times msyor of Logansport, died at the home of a daughter in Grand Rapids, Mich. yesterday. She was 81.
