The step from non-commisisoned to commissioned officers’ status has been accomplished by two Indianapolis men at the Ft. Knox, Ky., armored force officer candidate school. A “peep” with anti-tank gun in tow starts across a pontoon bridge which was speedily ‘constructed by men of the 151st infantry regiment (Hoosiers) across the Cattahouchee river at Ft. Benning, Ga. The 151st has developed a reputation at the fort for this type of demon: ration, working in conjunction with army engineers. The regiment is commanded by Col. Albert H. Whitcomb of Indianapolis.
