AROUND THE DIAL: Shirley Temple's “Junior Miss” series is scheduled to fade from the networks Aug. 26. . . . Lanny Ross, star of the new CBS “Caravan” show, has been selected to represent radio singers on a board composed of prominent figures in the musical field which will act in an advisory
mation, Seems as though the musie industry feels as though it hasn't yet produced a war song with enough punch, It also is fearful that some songs with catch lines might easily offend our Latin-American compatriots. The board will advise in the production of only positive, fighting war songs. ” ” » Pick and Pat, the blackface comics, are due back on the networks
