Vaught, 24, of Johnson City, Tenn., left an advance base “hospital today and rejoined his air squadron, fully recovered from the snake bite he received 3000 feet over Australia. Vaught was flying 75 miles from his base when a queerly marked snake that somehow had got into his. cockpit rearéd its head. and struck at his ankle. He managed to put his plane down in an abandoned cattleyard. That night he slept near his . plane.
