Holes in 24 Hours

HANNIBAL, Mo., July 16 (U. P.). —Bob Howell, Hannibal, completed his fifth annual marathon golf test Tuesday night by setting a new personal record of 288 holes in slightly more than 24 hours. Howell, 23, lost three hours’ playing time because of weather conditions, but he spent 25 full hours at the nine-hole Mark Twain course. During the period he' lost six pounds, walked 75 miles and made 1351 strokes, His average was 42 per nine holes on the par 34 course.
