Meridian Hills Party Is Planned

THE EVENING ENTERTAINMENT PROGRAM which will be a feature of the 17th anniversary celebration Saturday at the Meridian Hills Country club will utilize the talents of members’ sons and daughters who have “grown up” with the club, Mrs. Paul R. Summers, wife of the club president, planned the entertainment which is to follow a buffet supper on the club lawn. =. = : The supper will top a day of sports activities for adults and play for their children. For women members there will be a golf cantest arranged by Mrs. Horace E. Storer, chairman. The men will participate in the opening of the annual “Duffers’ Delight” tournament which closes the following day. Wayne Paulsen is men’s golf chairman. : Eh Other activities will intiude swimming, shuffleboard and tennis. ‘Mrs. Arthur E. ‘Stay-at-Home’ Camp Opens At Y.W.C.A.

Fifty girls today began a program of in-town recreation at the Central Y. W. C. A’s “stay-at-home” camp. The program is a war-time substitute for the regular camp at McCormick’s Creek state park. Miss Margery Dudley opened the camp officially at 9 o'clock. Activities will include swimming, outdoor picnics, hand craft, story telling, visits to places of interest in the
