Columbia Club Will Have |4th Annual

Outing at Ulen

/ A HIGH POINT OF THE SUMMER SEASON for Columbia club members will be reached Wednesday, July 22, when their 14th annual family outing and golf tournament will be held at the Ulen Country club in Lebanon. Henry C. Ulen, founder, and this year president of the Ulen club, will be chairman of a group of Ulen members serving as a reception committee to provide a “big time” for Columbia club members, their wives and chil-

dren.

The program for the day’s entertainment will begin with a luncheon at Ulen club from noon to 1 p. m. Following, the women attending the outing will be entertained at bridge in the shade of

the clubhouse from 1:30 to 4 p. m.

While the women play bridge and the men golf, children will be entertained with a variety of games. are completed, Columbians, their families and guests, together with many Ulen club members, will gather at the clubhouse for a fried

chicken dinner.

After the dinner there will be the traditional awarding of prizes to winners in the competitive events of the day. These will include golf awards for both men and women, prizes for the winners in children’s games and the award of the Ulen family trophy which is presented each year to the Columbia club family winning the most points in the day’s competitive events. The climax of the evening will be dancing in the Ulen clubhouse until midnight.

Bundles for America Branch Here Is Part of Regional Set-Up

The Indianapolis branch of Bundles for America has become a part of a regional district of the organization, comprising several states, under a new program recently announced by the ndtional board. Hartley Sherwood, president since last December of the. local branch, will continue in that position as the branch becomes the central office for six other groups located in Terre Haute, Martins-
