RATION BOARD BRANCHES OPEN

8 Offices to Be Staffed by Volunteers; Handle Sugar Supplies.

Beginning at noon Friday, Marion county war price and rationing board will reopen eight] branches throughout the city where applications will be received to obtain sugar for canning. A. L. Taggart, board chairman, said that the branches would remain open until 8 p. m. each day through July 3 with the exception of Sunday. He also added that other periods besides this one would be provided to obtain sugar. “One pound of sugar will be provided for every four quarts of can-| ning,” Mr. Taggart said, “but it is| imperative that those who apply bring their ration books with them. The board is relying on the patriotism of citizens not to overestimata heir needs.” Staffs to Volunteer Mr. Taggart said the branches would be staffed with volunteer workers and that “any inconvenience a persor might be subjected to would be more than) matched by the inconvenience vol- | untarily assumed by the workers.” The branches are: School 35, Raymond st. and Madison ave.; School 41, Clifton and 30th sts.; School 76. College ave. andj 30th School 9. at 760 W. Ver- | mont st.; School 57, Ritter ave. and Washi RSton st.; School 17, West| and 11th sts.; the NYA center, 25th | and Key stone ave, and Washington high school.
