Belmont beach on White river has been closed to the public by the park board on recommendation of City Recreation Director Frank Luzar. Reasons given for the closing included a high bacteria count in the water, too deep for safe wading and failure to get qualified life guards. Mr. Luzar said nc applications nad been received for life guard jobs at Belmont.
