R. A. F. Raids and Libyan Battle Have Built Up Friendly Relations.

LONDON, June 12-—What ap-| pears to be a considerable improve-| ment in Anglo-American relations,’ as reflected by the American attitude toward Britain, has been noted here with great satisfaction. It has been no secret to the majority of the British people lately that feelings toward them, on the part of many Americans in the United States, have been anything but friendly. British correspondents in the United States have been repeatedly writing of anti-British feeling evident on all sides and while some people have hoped that they might have been giving undue emphasis] to the attitude of a relatively small group, it has caused concern. Undoubtedly, recent events have played a part in creating an atmosphere of greater friendliness. The royal air force's raids on Germany appear to have indicated to America that the British are not dominated by the defensive spirit and the progress of the Libyan battle so far has shown that, properly equipped, the British soldier can give a good account of himself, The statement of British Minister of production Oliver Lyttelton, now in Washington, shows an impressive | war output, indicating that British war efforts are anything but a half-| Way measure.
