A resident of Indianapolis since he was 19, Mr. Smith held membership in the Capitol City lodge 312, F. & A. M.; Masonic temple association; Raper Commandery 1, Knights Templar; Indianapolis chapter 5, R. A. M.; Indianapolis council, R. & S. M.,, and Winamac Tribe 279, I. O. R. M. In the Capitol City lodge he served at various times as worshipful master and secretary. Born in Frankfort, Mr. Smith made his home here at 209 Beverly drive, He was 71. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Helen Smith Folz and a granddaughter, Sylvia Folz, both of Cincinnati, O.-

After a year’s illness, Herman R. Doerre, a retired truck gardener, died yesterday at his home, 509 S. Luett ave. He was 64. A lifelong resident of Indianapolis, he was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic church and the German Gardeners’ association. Mr. Doerre is survived by his wife, Carrie; a son, Lee; a daughter, Catherine, and a brother, William, all of this city. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:30 a. m. Wednesday at the Usher mortuary and at 9 o'clock. in St. Anthony's church. Burial will be in Holy Cross.

Services were to be held at 2 p. m. today in Aurora for William T. Hastings, former Indianapolis resident and office employee at Kingan & Co. for many years, who died Saturday at the home of his brother-in-law, Harry Smily, R. R. 1, Aurora. He was 73. Survivors include his wife, Mary; one son, Gene of Indianapolis; a brother, K. L. Hastings, Vevay, and two sisters, Grace and Ida Hastings, Indianapolis.

Puneral services for William A. Yancey were to be held at 2:30 p.m. y in his home, 1628 Yandes st., with burial in Crown Hill. - Mr. Yancey, who was 78, died Friday at City hospital. He had been a walter at the Columbia club for 15 years. ; Survivors include his wife, Emma; a son, Ernest Battles; a grandson, Herman Battles, all of this city; one nephew and a niece.
Dennie L. Reno, Ex-Baker, Dead
DENNIE L. RENO, 66-year-old retired baker, died yesterday at the family residence, 3501 Roosevelt ave. A member of Calvary Baptist church and the Masons, Mr. Reno came to this city 40 years ago from his birthplace, Louisville, Ky. Burial will be Dennie Reno in Washington Park following 2 p. m. services tomorrow in the Calvary Baptist church. He is survived by his wife, Sarah; three sons, Harlan, Ernest and Dennie Jr.; a sister, Esther Dillenbeck, all of this city, and a brother, George of Louisville.
MRS. RUSCHAUPT DIES HERE AT 65
Born in Germany but Came To Indianapolis at ‘Age of 2.
Mrs. Martha E. Ruschaupt, born near Berlin, Germany, but a resident of Indianapolis for the past 63 years, died yesterday at Methodist hospital at the age of 65. She lived at 3322 College ave. . A gradua, t. Paul's Lutheran school, Mrs. Ruschaupt was a member of the Church of Our Redeemer, the Dorcas society and the Woman’s State assembly. Funeral services will be observed at 2 p. m. Wednesday in the Flanner & Buchanan mortuary with the Rev. William H. Eifert, her pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery. Surviving include her. husband, Charles; a son, Harold C.; three brothers, Albert, Charles and Fred Keske; two sisters, Mrs. Harry G. Claffe and Mrs. Arthur W. Schowe, and one granddaughter, all of this city.

George Morphew, Indianapolis salesman, died this morning at his home, 1046 Congress ave. He was 66.
Mr, Morphew came to Indianapolis 23 years ago from Scottsville, Ky., where he was born. He was a member of the Masonic lodge and the Methodist church at Scottsville. Surviving are his wife, Ruth; his mother, Mrs. L. D. Morphew of Scottsville; a sister, Mrs. Joe Law of Scottsville; a brother, W.
