Boston Minister Is Tudor Hall Commencement Speaker

THE REV. CARL HEATH KOPF, pastor of Mount Vernon church, Boston, will be the speaker at the Tudor Hall school com~mencement exercises at 8 p. m. Friday, June 5, in the First ‘Presbyterian church. His subject will be “Unfinished Symphony.” Mr. Kopf is the author of “Windows on Life,” a collection of essays and radio talks which was published last year. His radio program, “From a Window on Beacon Street,” is in its fourth year. The Rev. Alexander E. Sharp, executive secretary of the Indiana Synod of the Presbyterian church, will pronounce the invocation nd benediction and Miss I. Hilda Stewart, principal, will award the diplomas. 8 =» ” ” #” 8 Numerous reservations have been made for the luncheon which will precede Bomar Cramer's appearance Monday afternoon at the final Propylaeum Day of the season at the clubhouse. A picnic luncheon was to be served at 12:30 p. m. and Miss Judith Preston, president, was to be in charge of the meeting. 8 8 =a 2 =u # “Art Trends in Indiana” will be Elmer Taflinger’s subject when he speaks at 4 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at John Herron Art museum in connection with the current exhibition of the work of Indiana artists. Serving on the host committee of the Art Association of Indianapolis for the afternoon will be Mesdames Louis McClennen, Eugene Miller and Kurt Vonnegut, Messrs. Harry E. Wood and Albert Zoller.

A MEMORIAL SERVICE for deceased members of Caroline Scott Harrison chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, will be conducted Friday afternoon at Crown Hill. Members of the chapter will meet at the Crown Hill office at 2:15 o'clock to form a processional headed by Mrs. William Dobson, regent, and Mrs. William C. Harrison, chaplain. Among those to be honored are Mrs. Chapin C. Foster, first state regent and one of the founders of Caroline Scott Harrison chapter; Mrs. Cornelia Cole Fairbanks, a former president general of the national society; Patsy Patterson and Charlotte Nickum, two real daughters; John Morrow and Hezekiah Smith, soldiers of the Revolutionary War, and Mesdames Cecil S. Webb, Ada E. Rose and David M. Parry, chapter members who died during the past year." . Mrs. Felix T.- McWhirter, granddaughter of Hezekiah Smith, will place the flag on his grave. As the procession reaches the grave of Mrs. Caroline Scott Harrison, first president general of the society, where the main service will be held, girls of Old Glory chapter, Children of the American Revolution, dressed in white, will be standing in cross formation. :

Finished products will be distributed to dependents of service men through- the army and navy relief fund headquarters in New York. In announcing the opening of the sewing room, Mrs. Paul Kettner, chairman, made a plea for donations of old clothing and urged women to devote their spare moments to working for the organization in the new sewing room.
