- Fred Price, ill for three months, died yesterday at his home 2712 Highland place. He was 56. He was a member of Barnes Chapel church and the Knights of Pythias. Survivors are his wife, Ella; his mother, Mrs. E. K, Price; two sisters, Mrs. ‘Adelaide Bennett and Mrs. Estella Howell, all of Indianapolis. Services will be conducted at the Patton funeral home at 2 p. m, tomorrow.

Sixteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive. Services will be at 10 a. m. Saturday ‘at the G. H. Herrmann funeral home and at 10:30 a. m. at St. Catherine’s Catholic church.
Burial will be at St. Joseph's.

Services for Charles W. Gammon were to be held at the residence, 3701 N. Gladstone ave. today with burial in Crown Hill, Mr. Gammon, who was 79, died yesterday. He was a native of Ef-
fingham, Ill, and before coming here was engaged in the milling
business at Kinmundy, Ill. He was division manager of Valier Spies Milling Co., here until the firm was consolidated. Since the death of his wife in 1926 he had lived with his son, George, at the Gladstone address. Survivors include his son, two grandsons, a sister, Mrs. Jennie Fitzpatrick of Minneapolis, and a brother, Frank of Seattle.

Miss Lulu Brown, well known Indianapolis musician, died yesterday at her home, 2235 N. Delaware st. She was 80. She was a native of Richmond and for many years was accompanist for Edward Nell at the old Met. ropolitan School of Music. She later taught voice at the Jordan conservatory. Mrs. Brown was a member of Mu Phi Epsilon musical sorority. Services will be held at 2 p. m. tomorrow at the Hisey & Titus mortuary. Burial will be in Crown Hill.
PASSENGER INJURED IN AUTO CRASH DIES
William G. Berthisume, 1018 Cedar st, died yesterday at City hospital from injuries received in an auto-truck crash Saturday. Mr. Berthisume was a passenger in a car driven by Anderson Lucas, 239 Leeds ave., when the machine collided with a truck trailer in the 300 block 8. Senate ave. Ernest Porter, truck driver, was uninjured and Theodore Dimroff, 239 W. South st., also a passenger
were injured slightly. Mr. Berthisume’s death brings the traffic toll for the- city to 30 for this year, three more than for the! same period last year.

Jacob Petty, 3245 Guilford ave. a former assistant fire chief and lifelong resident of Indianapolis, died yesterday at Methodist hospital, Mr, Petty was 89, and before his retirement had served with the fire department for 42 years. He helped install the first tele-
.|phone in Indianapolis and was the
first fireman to drive a horse drawn fire wagon, successor of the old hand drawn wagon reels. He’'was in the devartment at the time of the Bowen-Merrill Co., blaze in March 17, 1890, where H. P. Wasson & Co. is now located. Twelve firemen died in that fire. Survivors are his son, Otto, and two grandchildren, Mrs. Florence Louise Calvin of Indianapolis and Mrs. Caroline Smith of near Carmel, Services will be held at the Wald funeral home at 1 p. m.
