They Say in Pleas;
Sentence: Delayed.
DULUTH, Minn, May 7 (U. P).— members of one-family who inisted they were “Bound only by “God’s law” pleaded guilty in federal court yesterday to a charge of violating the selective service laws. Six other members of the same family who refused to comply with draft laws, which they said were contrary ‘to their religious beliefs, conferred with attorneys the court appointed to defend them. A 13th man, who subscribed to the family’s objections to war and joined them in religious services each week, also pleaded guilty, After hearing the pleas, U. S. District Judge M. M. Joyce deferred sentencing for Delford Chapin, .George W. Marquardt, Karl Paul Marquardt, Obert William Marquardt, Arnold Ernest Patzoldt, Elmer Alvin Patzoldt, and Archie ‘Alvin Soderback. :
All except Chapin are related to.
Paul Marquardt, 62, a farmer whose home is near Pine City, Minn.

and communications and are’ hinting at “a great uwew campaign.” The latter idea was expressed in commons today by Hugh Dalton, president of the board of trade, and earlier by Prime Minister Churchill. In the. orient, however, the outlook is not immediately bright. The allies have been losing steadily.
