Junior League Marionette Committee Will Give Show at Museum Tomorrow.
TOMORROW WILL BE ‘the closing day for three’ special exhibitions at John Herron Art Museum—paintings by the surrealist, Salvador Dali, portraits and figure . compositions by Louis Betts and architectural designs and models by Eliel Saarinen. . : Serving on the host and hostess committee of the Art Association of Indianapolis will be Judge Russell Ryan, Anton Scherrer, Mesdames Brandt Steele, Frederic M. Ayres and Robert B. Failey. The Junior league’s marionette show, ‘Huckleberry Finn,” will be presented at two performances, at 3 and 4 o'clock, as the special
attraction for the afternoon. The presentations will be open to the publis without charge. Mrs. ‘Albert Lang is the recently appointed chairman of the marionette committee.

. Geddes-Schleicher Ceremony Performed
THE HOME OF Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Stanley Mather Jr. in Lake Forest, Ill, was the scene at 8:30 o'clock last night of the wedding of Mrs. Mather's sister, Miss Nancy Ellen Schleicher of Pasadena, Cal, to Randall Felix Geddes III. Dr. Herbert W. Prince of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit read the single ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr, and Mrs, Adolph Burgess Schleicher, Pasadena, and the bridegroom is the son off Mrs. R. Felix Geddes of Indianapolis and Los Angeles. White lilacs were used in decorations throughout the house. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore her sister's wedding gown—a simple ivory satin fashioned with long sleeves and a train and trimmed with heirloom rose point lace belonging to her family. A bandeau of orange blossoms held her veil extending to the end of her train and she carried bouvardia and white cattleya orchids. ©“ Mrs. Mather was her sister's matron of honor and Miss Gloria . Greddes, sister of the bridegroom, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids: were Miss Helen Monnette, Los Angeles, and Miss Virginia Hovey, Pasadena. They wore gowns of gray chiffon over chartreuse jersey and carried chartreuse calla lilies. Smaller lilies were used for their headdresses.

Mrs. Schleicher, the bride's mother, was gowned in dusty rose chiffon worn with a corsage of matching cattleya erchids. Murs. Geddes wore yellow cattleya orchids with her powder blue chiffon. The bridegroom’s attendants were Roger B. Palenske, Chicago, best man, and, as ushers, Mr. Mather and Charles Hosmer Morse Jr., Lake Forest. “A reception was held at the Mather home following the ceremony. - As the couple left for a wedding trip, the bride wore a blue wool costume with matching accessories. After May 10, they will be at home in the Whitehall apartments, 105 E, Delaware place, Chicago. Pvt, Geddes is stationed in Chicago with the quartermaster corps .of the army. The bride attended the Westlake School for Girls in Bel Air and . Scripps college. She is a member of the Junior league and Spinsters. Mr. Geddes attended Park school here and the Universities of Michigan and Arizona. Among guests at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy B. Miller and \their son, LeRoy Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Nathaniel C. Hamilton . Jr., Dr. Samuel B. Grubbs and Mrs. R. Parker Geddes.

Mrs. Latham will preside Wednesday at a meeting of the committee’s executive board for the election of officers and appointment . of chairmen of portfolios for 1942-43. The meeting will be held - at 10 a. m. in the home of Mrs. G. H. A. Clowes in Golden Hill.
Golfers Begin Play at Country Clubs
GOLF ACTIVITIES will claim the spotlight at country clubs next week. The women’s golf season av the Indianapolis Country club will start Tuesday and will continue through Sept. 29 with guest days to be held the third Tuesday of each month.
