THE WEDDING DATE of Miss Catherine Jane Smith and Robert Fulton Cook of Long Beach, Cal, has been set as June 20. The ceremony will be at noon in the Beverly Hills hotel, Beverly Hills, Cal. The engagement was announced in February.

This afternoon the school will hold its ceremony crowning the statue of the Blessed Virgin. Miss Kernel, May queen, will place the crown upon the statue in the sunken gardens at 4:30 o’clock. Her small cousin, Maureen Kernel, will be crown bearer and her attendants will be Misses Dougherty, Heidbrink, Jordan, Montrose, Mushrush, Rice and Weisenberger. Will Install Heads Monday

Mrs. Marcus Cohen will be installed as president of the Indianapolis ‘section, National Council of Jewish Women, at the organization’s final meeting of the year Monday at 2 p. m. in Kirshbaum center. Estelle Gabriel Gets Chicago Fellowship

Times Special CHICAGO, iil, April 30.—Miss Estelle Gabriel has been appointed to a fellowship in the School of Social Service Administration at the University of Chicago. She is the daughter of Mrs. Estelle Gabriel, 3707 Central ave. Indianapolis. The monetary value of the fellowship is $600, which covers tuition fees for three quarters and a part of the student's living expenses. Miss Gabriel is one of 116 students who received fellowships for the 1942-43 academic year.

Several meetings have been scheduled to precede the continental congress of the Daughters of the Arherican Revolution, which will meet in the Stevens hotel, Chicago, Monday. Tomorrow morning, the national officers’ club will have a meeting at which Mrs. LaFayette LeVan Por|ter, Indiana state regent, will give a memorial in honor of Harriet Vaughn Rigdon, a former treasurer

will be held in the afternoon. The national board will have a business session and the officers’ club has scheduled a banquet for Saturday. A memorial service is planned for Sunday and that eve{ning the Illinois society will entertain the national board at a buffet supper. The congress will convene Monday evening with the president general’s reception following. Three meetings have been announced for Tuesday, and next Wednesday election of vice presidents general and reports by the state regents are on the agenda, A victory banquet on Thursday will close the conference.
