Trials of Two Acrobats
ON THE STAGE AT KEITH'S this week are the Mudson Wonders, sometimes known as the “Hudson Sisters” or simply “Ray and Geraldine.” They alone are worth the price of admission and if you ever have wondered what acrobatic dancers think about while going through their gyrations, these girls can tell you. They worry. It seems that there is more to acrobatic detvivg hry simply a good set of conditioned reflexes. At the apex of a spin, they can see the first four rows of the audience and if anyone happens to be reading a newspaper or sleeping, it upsets them.
“I am thinking about the audience most of the time,” said Geraldine, the taller of the two who keeps her hands or feet on the stage most of the time while Ray is in the air. “At a show like this, you see mostly men in the front row. But when there's a name band on the stage, you see the front rows filled with women and girls. I'd rather see the men.” Ray said they worried most about the music. If the music is off, that’s bad.

respectively. “Why, they danced for the soldiers coming home from the last war,” said Mrs. Hudson. “Oh, no, mother!” said Geraldine. “It was several years after the war.” “Yes, it really was, were not that old,” said Ray. “Well, they were soldiers and they were coming home from the war,” said Mrs. Hudson. “How | these girls worry about their age.”

their age, ready to back down at the first sign of hostility. “Oh, do we have to tell?” demanded Geraidine. “Well, why not?” said Mrs. Hudson. “That's perfectly silly. Two young girls worrying about their ages like that.”
“Well,” said Geraldine, “I'm 21.» She blushed, too. “I'm 22,” said Ray, frankly, “and I'll be 23 in"—she flashed a glance at Geraldine—“pretty soon.” “Just say 21 and 22, please, if you have to,” said Geraldine. So if you happen to see the act where Ray does a fast series of flips over the head of her prostrate sister, feet skimming Geraldines blond curls, you will know that the girls are worrying. Not about Ray kicking Geraldine in
