SKILL SPREAD IS WAR WORK NEED
Myron Green Says Some Factories May Quit 3-Shift Work.
Spreading the supply of highly essential skills over a wider area is the paramount problem facing war production, Myron R. Green told the Indiana executive committee of the national defense council yesterday at the Hotel Washington.
Industrial commissioner of the Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Green told council members that many industrialists were considering establishing two 10-hour shifts rather than three eight-hour shifts. Mr. Green said industrialists believed that stich a plan would avoid time lost in shift changes and allow time for maintenance crews to work during the idle four hours. Greater utilization of highly essential skills rather than the 40hour week or other “losses of labor gains,” Mr. Green declared, is industry’s most vital problem. “Indianapolis,” he said, “is doing
one of the outstanding jobs in the els, mules and horses are ready to;
country in production work.”

WEIGHS APPEAL IN SCHERER CASE
Medical Board | Has Right, To Appeal Ruling of Judge Gentry.
Further action in the case of John R. Scherer, whose license as a naturopathist was revoked July 8. 1941, today depended on a decision by the state medical registration board whether to carry the
X & | matter to the state supreme court.
Following revocation of his license, which grew out of charges made by Toner M. Overley, head of the Better Business bureau, Mr. Scherer appealed his case to the Marion circuit court. By change of venue it was taken to the Hamilton circuit court and yesterday Judge Cassius M. Gentry failed to find evidence to uphold the medical board's action. Under state law, the board now may take the case before the state supreme court.
Closed His Office Mr. Overley filed his case against
Mr. Scherer, who had offices in the | State Life building, in December of {1940. After revocation of his license, | Mr. Scherer closed his offices. In his petition, Mr. Overley with “gross immorality,” alleging that he ‘made unwarranted claims for his | remedies, prescribed them indis-
