Few Road Projects Affected:
A report was to be made this afternoon but until that time, no information was to be released. « Although the ban will affect highway construction if the cost exceeds $5000, few Indiana roadbuilding projects were expected to be affected. Highway Commissioner Samuel C. Hadden said that few, if any, projects now under way are not deemed vital to defense. Yesterday the commission rescinded a contract let Dec. 20 for the paving of Road 13 between Sidney and Pierceton because the project was not deeemed of defense value. Bids were called for before Pearl Harbor and the project had been tentatively awarded to the Gast Construction Co. of Warsaw, Ind.
